Christian Parker održat će predavanje i radionicu za studente dramaturgije u tjednu od 25. do 30. studenog 2013. Teme najavljujemo uskoro.

Christian Parker is Chair of the MFA Theatre Program and Head of Dramaturgy Concentration at Columbia University, where he heads the concentration in Dramaturgy. He holds a BA from Middlebury College and an MFA from Columbia. Christian is also the Associate Artistic Director at the Atlantic Theater Company, where he has worked since 2001. Recent projects include 10x25, an all commissioned festival of work by Atlantic-produced playwrights to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the company. For that series he directed new plays by Tina Howe, Kevin Heelan, and Kate Moira Ryan. He is currently collaborating as a dramaturg with the visionary director/choreographer Martha Clarke on a new production of Brecht/Weill's The Threepenny Opera for Atlantic. At Atlantic, he has also directed the world premiere of Leslie Ayvazian’s Make Me, the New York premiere of Tina Howe’s Birth and After Birth, Ken Weitzman’s Arrangements and Jeff Whitty’s The Hiding Place. Prior to his tenure at the Atlantic, he spent several seasons as the Literary Manager at Manhattan Theatre Club. He recently directed an acclaimed Boston area production (Merrimack Repertory Theatre) of David Auburn’s Proof, a play for which he served as dramaturg in its original production at MTC and on Broadway. Christian has produced, directed or dramaturged over fifty premieres of new American and British plays on, off and off-off Broadway, including works by David Lindsay-Abaire, Cusi Cram, Keith Reddin and Dael Orlandersmith, among others. He speaks Russian and was part of the national artistic advisory board for the CITD New Russian Plays initiative. He is currently developing a new musical work about the Romanovs with Kate Moira Ryan and Adam Guettel, and completed a residency through the Joyce Theatre with Gallim Dance on their piece Sit. Kneel. Stand. He has worked with Sundance Theatre Labs, The Lark Play Development Center, Bread Loaf, Kenyon Playwrights Conference and at Perry-Mansfield developing new plays.
